The year is part of the calculation
A rate is incomplete without its effective period. When checking an older result, use the tables for that year rather than today's default. A threshold change can alter a deduction even when the headline percentage stays the same.
A threshold is not a bill
These tables list the ingredients, not a personal tax assessment. Allowances, income types and reliefs determine which entries apply. Use a relevant calculator to see the bands working together, then check its assumptions before relying on the total.
